rm /var/share/optimumcache/DiskDescriptor.xml.lck

Or if you are using a customized path for your images:

rm /path/to/ploop/image/file
rm /path/to/ploop/image/DiskDescriptor.xml
rm /path/to/ploop/image/DiskDescriptor.xml.lck
